Christie McFarland Bush | Owner and Master Lash Stylist

Christie McFarland, who has always lived in the Metroplex, decided to change careers after 7 years of marketing/sales in the Medical Industry. She always wanted to be in the service industry of making people feel better about themselves, so she decided to go back to school. Christie enrolled in the Esthetology program at Ogle School in August of 2010.

Christie fell in love with the eyelash extensions, began putting them on everyone she knew, and they fell in love with them as well. More and more people kept coming to her, and wanting this new, fabulous look. So Christie decided to open up her own Salon.

Christie had the vision and created Lash & Glow, an eyelash extension and spray tan salon. Since then, Lash & Glow has become so much more than the original vision, growing in size and number of employees, all due to the skills, dedication, patience, and talent that help create beautiful, individualized looks for every client. Before and during those six years there were numerous mediocre training sessions and poor quality of supplies experienced. Also, being in the industry for so many years, having a full lash salon, there has been many first time clients that have come in with bad lash extension applications from other salons. Fortunately the poor work was corrected and replaced to meet the Lash & Glow excellence standard, which in turn gave Christie the vision to create Lash & Glow Academy.

In creating Lash & Glow Academy, the vision was to better educate the student lash stylist, and provide the best products, knowledge and training for a new stylist to use and grow a business. The core focus is the belief in taking the time to really instruct the students to properly do what this business is about, which is the safe application of eyelash extensions.

In addition to the Lash & Glow Academy, over two years ago, Christie had the vision to establish a Lash & Glow brand of products made with the best quality of ingredients that are safe and effective and allow stylists to truly Take Beauty to the Next Level.

Misty Hassell | Sr. Lash Stylist

Misty was born and raised in fort worth. She is married and has two daughters. After attending the University of Texas in Arlington and studying Business Management she worked for several years in the Banking Industry. However this was not her passion! Seeking a career that would be more fulfilling, she decide to enroll at Ogle school of beauty and take course in Esthetology. She worked in Spas and also worked in the medical field providing skincare treatments for her clients.

After taking a Lash Extensions class in May 2007, Misty quickly learned that her passion to help women look and feel more beautiful had reached a new level.

Paul Visage | Sr. Lash Stylist

Paul has always had a love for artistic design. His passion for art and music was a natural lead into the world of fashion and hair design. Eyelash extensions are his latest passion. He began his career at The Salon Professional Academy. After 3 years in the hair world, working in the west 7th area in Fort Worth, his desire to offer more led him to laser school and now here with us at Lash and Glow. He loves restoring passion in his clients! Wether it’s hair or lashes, Paul wants you to feel great and confident about yourself!

Meygan Vessell | Salon Manager & Spray Tan Specialist

Meygan was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. She went to Duvall's School of Cosmetology and has been a hairstylist for over 11 years. Meygan is also is in the fashion industry and works for a small clothing designer based out of Dallas. She enjoys all the aspects of being in the beauty industry by making people look and feel amazing. Meygan has a beautiful daughter and recently just got married and has expanded her family from 2 to 5.

Alyssa Alvarez | Receptionist/ Spray Tan Specialist

Alyssa Alvarez was born in Silver Spring, Maryland and currently resides in Keller, Texas for the past eight years. She is a junior at Keller high school and part of the Indianettes drill team. Alyssa has a sister that is a freshman at Keller high school and the cutest puppy in the world named DeNiro. Alyssa loves going to the lake in her free time and doing all things in the Sun! Alyssa Enjoys fashion and staying up on all the top trends.

Avery Bourland | Sr. Lash Stylist

Avery is a DFW metroplex native and currently resides in Keller. She is the second oldest and only girl out of 6 siblings. Avery has always enjoyed all things design, art, and fashion. She graduated from Glance Lash Academy in FTW and hit the ground running. For fun, she loves to spend time with her family, bargain shop, and watch her brothers play football. Avery is passionate about her faith, politics, and coffee. She loves to help women feel beautiful, loved, and cared for. She can’t wait to meet you!

Maggie Palmer | Receptionist/ Spray Tan Specialist

Maggie has spent her whole life Keller, Texas. She is a junior at Keller High School and has been on the Indianettes’s dance team since her freshman year. Maggie is the youngest of three and is the only one still in High School. She hopes to be enrolled in the cosmetology program at KCAL. Maggie’s interests include dance, fashion, shopping, and hanging out with friends!
